Hello and welcome to the first regular update for our events partners nationwide! As the UK’s busiest-ever summer for live events heats up (literally), we thought it was a good time to let you know what we’ve been up to.

From arena tours by Billie Eilish, Dua Lipa and Anne-Marie, to shows at the National Theatre and the Old Vic, our NHS members have thrived this summer on a huge catalogue of free tickets — all thanks to our events partners across the UK. Spot our members’ photos as you read, and check out our socials for more as we always share the best!

A fantastic festival season (Part 1!)

Our NHS members are loving festivals across the UK this summer, from Live at Leeds to Isle of Wight, and Tramlines and Truck last weekend. We’re looking ahead to August and our next festivals phase, including Eastern Electrics and Junction 2 over the bank holiday.

We’ve won an award!

The whole team is delighted to be winners of TheTicketingBusiness Impact Award 2022! It’s a big honour and we’re grateful to the highly experienced judging panel for their support. If you were at the Forum this year and we haven’t yet caught up — do drop us a line, we’d love to hear from you.

The milestone: 125,000 NHS members and counting…

…and a quarter are in London, with 33,000 members in the region! Our sports partners in London have drawn huge crowds with 10,000 NHS workers enjoying international football by England’s men and women, and more than 3000 members and loved ones attending London Lions Basketball matches. Plus, hundreds of south-east Londoners have enjoyed a Charlton Athletic home game this summer — almost half for the very first time.

Our favourite feedback comments this month:

“It was absolutely fantastic, myself and my daughters loved it. We loved the entire atmosphere. It felt amazing to be supporting our Lionesses.”

“It was my first time at the National and I loved it.”

“Amazing music. Three NHS families went together and we all really loved it as a chance to bond with our teenage children”

Top results for Charlton Athletic:

“We have now purchased 3 season tickets” - NHS member after attending a Charlton Athletic home game

66% of attendees live within South East London

82% would attend a match again

What’s next?

More than just the NHS

At Cambridge Club Festival and Strawberries & Creem this year, our NHS members were joined by new audiences including:

  • Charity workers and volunteers
  • Social care workers
  • Education staff
  • Teams from 4 day-week companies

Big thanks to S&C Productions for working with us on this exciting new project — watch this space!

It might be July, but we know our theatre partners are already planning Christmas! Last year our Time Together campaign featured venues from St. David’s Hall Cardiff to Chichester Festival Theatre; City of Birmingham Symphony Hall to Brighton Dome. Thousands of NHS workers enjoyed live theatre with their loved ones, and we’re ready to make this year even bigger.
