For events at the O2 Academy, The Leadmill, The Crucible, Lyceum & Playhouse Theatre, The Washington, City Hall

The beauty of our beloved home city is that there’s so much to offer within walking distance of many city centre venues! Taxis are not needed for lots of these, which can save a pretty penny (if you don’t mind a few uphills!)

Rutland Arms (86 Brown St, City Centre, Sheffield S1 2BS)

A local favourite serving tasty pub grub and a huge selection of real ales and beers! If you happen to head here, you’ll have to sample their ‘Rutty Butty’ for a slice of Sheffield culture.

Rudy’s Pizza Napoletana (40–44 Division St, City Centre, Sheffield S1 4GF)

A beautiful restaurant serving some of the finest sourdough pizzas in the heart of Division Street. A recent addition to Sheffield, you can’t go wrong with a pre-show meal at Rudy’s.

Birdhouse Tea Bar & Kitchen (Sidney St, City Centre, Sheffield S1 4RG)

A rustic-chic teahouse serving some awesome brunch, cakes and pancakes! Perfect for those daytime events — it’s a super pick! P.S. try their tea lattes; they won’t disappoint.

The Furnace Bar & Restaurant (Unit 7 & 8, Block D, City Centre, Sheffield S1 4HS)

A restaurant/bar/late-night venue with it all; you’ll feel the luxury here with their great selection of cocktails, food and a huge balcony perfect for sunny nights!

Triple Point Brewery (178 Shoreham St, City Centre, Sheffield S1 4SQ)

A firm fave with the TFG team, you can’t go wrong with this brilliant bar! Offering an ever-changing selection of beers and banging burgers, Triple Point Brewery is a no-brainer if you’re off to one of the venues above.

Leopold Square (Sheffield City Centre, Sheffield S1 2JG)

A vibrant and busy pocket in the city centre, Leopold Square offers a range of restaurants and bars for you to choose from, including Wagamama, Zizzi, Pho, The Botanist and more!

For events at Bramall Lane (Sheffield United F.C.)

This one is for all sports fans out there! We could have easily recommended many of the places above, but when Sheffield has so much choice, we had to suggest more great spots.

Industry Tap (85 Sidney St, City Centre, Sheffield S1 4RG)

An excellent small bar close to The Moor and Decathlon! You have to be quick to get a spot inside, but they have a few tables and chairs outside, which are great in the summer! Craft beers, trendy drinks and more, they have the lot!

Nether Edge Pizza Co (144 Abbeydale Rd, Nether Edge, Sheffield S7 1FF)

Another option that supplies wood-fired pizza fresh to your table in double quick time! With many options, everyone can enjoy some scran from their superb location.

LYKKE Sheffield (Unit 8, LYKKE, 11 New Era Square, Sheffield S2 4RB)

A Danish-inspired bar that offers a relaxed vibe in the day and a high-spirited one in the evening! Why not have a spot of food before the game and then come back for drinks? That’s a win-win in our books!

For events at Yellow Arch Studios (Kelham Island)

A short stroll away from the hustle and bustle lies Kelham Island, a trendy and industrial area of Sheffield full of restaurants, bars and more! If you’re off to a gig at the famous Yellow Arch Studios, which has hosted Arctic Monkeys & Jarvis Cocker, these are top picks for before (or after!)

Domo Restaurant (Eagle Works, 34–36 Cotton Mill Walk, Little Kelham St, Sheffield S3 8DH)

An incredible Sardinian restaurant, Domo is an event within itself! Beautiful food and expertly made cocktails are guaranteed. Did someone say Aperol Spritz?! Booking is essential due to its popularity!

Church — Temple of Fun (4a Rutland Way, Sheffield S3 8DG)

Boasting an all-vegan menu and a large selection of drinks (beers and cocktails), it’s a super spot on the river for great tunes, old-school arcade games and a great time! Plus, it’s owned by Bring Me The Horizon’s, Oli Sykes!

The Fat Cat (23 Alma St, Sheffield S3 8SA)

After opening in 1981 in Kelham Island, it was the first real ale pub in the area! Still going strong and keeping its original feel, you’ll get a cracking pint here.

Cutlery Works (73–101 Neepsend Ln, Neepsend, Sheffield S3 8AT)

A food hall offering a massive selection of food and drinks, you’ll not be short of options here! Its industrial feel keeps with its location, and it has a great atmosphere all can enjoy!

The Gardener’s Rest (105 Neepsend Ln, Neepsend, Sheffield S3 8AT)

Another Kelham Island classic, this traditional tavern is small and has a proper English pub vibe! An intimate beer garden that looks out onto the river makes it perfect for the summer sun before heading to your event.
